ECTS Credits for Spanish Courses

Academic recognition through a 4-week Super Intensive Spanish program

Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA)
FEDELE - Spanish Federation of Spanish Schools

What are ECTS credits and how do they apply to our Spanish courses?

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) are used by universities in Europe — and recognized internationally — to measure academic workload, not only classroom hours.

At Cervantes Escuela Internacional, ECTS credits are awarded through an academic agreement between Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA) and FEDELE (the Spanish Federation of Spanish Schools for Foreigners).

Thanks to this agreement, students who complete a specific intensive study program at Cervantes Escuela Internacional can apply for official academic recognition in the form of ECTS credits, subject to the regulations of their home institution.

ECTS credits are linked to academic workload and supervision, and only apply to programs that meet the required study intensity.
